Brandon + Shelby // Olympic National Park Elopement

What do two spontaneous adventurers do when they fall in love? Well, they travel to a gorgeous place they have never been and elope of course. That is exactly what Brandon and Shelby did on an overcast day in July in Forks, Washington for their Olympic National Park elopement. There truly is nothing more beautiful than the Pacific Northwest, specifically in Washington around Forks and La Push. Who doesn’t love a Twilight wedding or elopement? It is a magical place that gives you a sense that it hides its secrets within its dense forests and releases its anger into the raging sea. What better place for two self-proclaimed “old souls” to commit to one another?

For her forest elopement, Shelby chose a simple high-neck gown adorned with delicate lace and a beautiful chapel length train. She chose, being a boho girl at heart, tan booties to compliment her gown and flowing beachy waves. It was the perfect choice for their first look, surrounded by ferns and ancient moss covered trees. With umbrella in hand, Shelby waited in eager anticipation to see the man who told his friend she was the prettiest thing he had ever seen. Brandon perfectly complimented Shelby’s boho look with a dressed-down suit and adoring smile. Their easy-going personalities shone as Brandon tenderly caressed Shelby and she never ceased to smile around him.

They expressed their love, trust and respect for one another in an intimate elopement ceremony with personalized vows. Surrounded by the forest of Forks and an incredible boho inspired round arch covered in pampas grass and florals, they committed to one another. After a short trip to the often moody beaches of La Push, Brandon and Shelby enjoyed their own reception inside a makeshift shelter made of driftwood and fallen trees. Much like their relationship, the wind blew spontaneously, allowing Shelby’s waves to reveal the plunging back of her gown. While their adventurous spirits may someday take them to the farthest reaches of the earth, their intimate elopement in Washington began a lifetime of exploration and adventure together.
